20x20x5 Honeywell Replacement Air Filters
Actual Size of Filter: 19 5/8 x 19 7/8 x 4 3/8
IMPORTANT Note: Air filters have an actual size that is a fraction of an inch smaller than the standard size (also known as "nominal size"). The size printed on your filter may NOT be the Actual Size. With the 4" and 5" filters there is a wider variance between the nominal size and actual size for the different manufacturers. Because of this, the filter you are replacing could be called a 20x20x4 and really be the same as our 20x20x5. This is why we ask you to measure your filter so you aren't surprised if the filter doesn't fit! You may be able to use our standard 20x20x4. Just check the "Actual Size" before ordering.

If Carbon Option is selected:
Nordic Pure is now offering MERV Plus Carbon air filters. Our electrostatic MERV Plus Carbon air conditioning filter has a MERV media plus an added layer of polyester based media impregnated with activated carbon. The dual combination results in two different medias combined into one convenient air conditioning filter. The MERV pleated media captures microscopic airborne dust, pollen, allergens, mold spores, pet dander, bacteria and particulates carrying bacteria and viruses in the air for better indoor air quality. The high quality activated carbon air filter polyester media naturally deodorizes the air by absorbing and eliminating household odors that may come from pets, garbage, bathrooms, smoke, litter boxes or cooking. It also removes levels of concentration of gases (VOC’s) as well as particulates in the air while maintaining excellent air flow properties.
Nordic Pure, manufacturer direct since 1960. We manufacture high efficiency pleated air conditioner filters and furnace filters. They capture microscopic airborne dust, pollen, allergens, mold spores, pet dander, bacteria and particulates carrying bacteria and viruses in the air. Maximize the filtration by choosing a higher MERV rated air filter. Our MERV 12 and MERV 13 air filters, which capture up to 98.9% of air born particles, are best for people suffering with allergies and other breathing issues. We can make most odd sized custom HVAC air filters for low cost and fast, Free Home Delivery. Our non-woven synthetic air filters media will not support the growth of mold or bacteria, keeping your home healthier. Our air filters use permanently electrostatically charged material that helps dust cling to the air filter. This helps protect your unit, home and family.
Changing your A/C furnace air filter is the first step in ensuring your HVAC system runs at its optimal level this season. Generally, you should change your 1/2”, 1” and 2” air filters every 30, 60, or 90 days; the 4”, 5” and 6” air filters should be changed every 3 to 6 months, depending on your environment. Standard size air filters generally ship within 2-10 business days. Actual shipping time will depend on delivery address. We have been manufacturing air filters since 1960. Since HVAC units have advanced through the years, we have advanced our air filters too. Try them, and we are certain you'll be pleased.
FAQ- Frequently Asked Questions

Where are my air filters located?
Air conditioner and furnace filters in most homes are generally located behind an air intake grill in your home's walls, ceiling, basement or attic. These generally look like large vents, but the air flows into them, rather than out of them when the heating or cooling system is blowing air. They may also be located in or near the air conditioner or furnace. Many homes may have more than one, and they may be different sizes. Contact your heating or cooling professional if you can't find them.
Which direction does my air filter face?
There is an airflow direction arrow on the side edge of your Nordic Pure pleated air filter. In the absence of the arrow for the pleated air filters the metal mesh is on the air exit side. For air filters with carbon added the carbon is on the air exit side. For the ring panel air filters the color side of the air filter is on the air exit side. On the half inch air filters the smooth MERV material is on the air exit side.
How do I know what sizes I need?
Air filter sizes are width x length x thickness in inches. For example, a 20x25x1 air filter is 20 inches wide, 25 inches long, and 1 inch thick but the actual size of the air filter is 19 ½ x 24 ½ x 3/4. The actual measurements of each furnace air filter are a small fraction of an inch less than the listed size. This is called the nominal size. Most furnace air filters have the size printed on them but that may not be the actual size of the air filter. The best way to make sure you are ordering the correct size is to measure the air filter with a measuring tape. Sometimes homes have 2 or 3 different sized filters in various locations.
